The birth/baptismal record in the Madfeld, Westfalen, Prussia church book (microfilm roll 1053259 image 1283 page 80 birth/baptism 22 the second from the bottom of the page) indicates his name as Joseph Anton Jacob Kitzhaber, son of Joseph & Josephina (Stein) Kitzhaber was born at 10am on 17 Sep 1842 and was baptized the next day - 18 Sep 1842.
