Hanna, 92, will be held Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway with burial in Lake Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Clark Hughes officiating. He was born in Florence County on Aug. 11, 1915, a son of the late Odie A. and Ruth Cox Hanna. He was a retired farmer, and also was retired from the Charleston Navel Yard in Charleston in 1967. He was a life long Master Mason of St. Andrews Lodge No. 367 AFM in St. Andrews. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Eleanor Morgan Hanna of the home; four children, Joann H. Whatley of Guyton, Ga., Thomas J. Hanna (Mary) of La Grange, Ga., Leola H. Harvey (Ron) of Summerfield, Fla., and William O. Hanna (Carolyn) of Johnsonville; sister, Helen Barnhill of Hemingway; nephew, Allen Walker (Betty Jean) of Jackson, Ga; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
