Good Citizen And Fine Workman ***************************** Joseph Bloor, one of the best known residents of the city, met death at his home, 183 Bank Street, this morning in a very peciliar manner. Mr. Bloor arose at 8:30 o'clock and in getting out of bed was seized with a convulsion and failing against the iron post of the bed, fell dead before aid could reach home. Mr. Bloor was a potter. He had been employed at the Dresden plant for years. He had never been ill in his life and there was no indication that he suffered from heart failure. Mrs. Bloor was attracted by the fall when the accident happened, and rushing in found her husband lying on the floor attired only in his night garments. Upon turning the body over it was found that he had sstruck the post and met death. A wound was noticeable over the left eye and it is presumed this caused concussion of the brain. Dr. Lemmon was hastily summoned and prounounced Mr. Bloor dead. Other Physicians were called later and all agreed that the concussion was responsble for the death. The family is grief stricken. Joseph Bloor was born in Burslem, England, 43 years ago. He came to America about 25 years ago and has worked in Trenton and East Liverpool as a decorator ever since. He returned to England in 1883 and was married to Miss Phoebe Newbrook. Returning to East Liverpool, the couple went to housekeeping and have been here since. Mr. Bloor was a skilled workman, some of the finest decorations ever sent out of East Liverpool being made by him. He was highly respected, had a host of friends, and his death is universally regretted. Besides his wife, he leaves the following children; Mrs. Frank Shingler, Miss Phoebe, Joseph Jr., Leonard, Grace, Howard, Ruth, Warren and Sydney, all of whom live in East Liverpool. The funeral services will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Dr. M.B.Pratt officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
