Description	:	Joseph C. Troyer was b. in Union County, Penn., May 12, 1799, and d. June 13, 1873, at Wawpecong, Ind. He m. April- 23, 1825, Maria Hochstedler, in Union County, Penn. She was b. May 25, 1801, also in Union County, Penn., and d. March, 1865, at Wawpecong, Ind. They moved to Holmes County, Ohio, soon after their marriage, where all of their children were born. He was a farmer and mechanic. The following were their children: Sarah was b. Feb. 18, 1826, and d. in 1851, in Holmes County, Ohio (s.); Barbara (2), Elisabeth was b. Dec. 10, 1828, and d. in 1851, in Holmes County, Ohio; Amos (20), Mary (23), Moses .1. (75), Gideon (83), Rachel (93), Mattie (107); Catharine (110), Edward J. (122). In the name of the Venerable Father of all. I, Joseph C. Troyer, of Miami County state of Indiana, so make and publish this my last will and testament. Item First. I do will and bequeath Eight Hundred Dollars to the Missionary cause and Two Hundred Dollars to the Orphan institute at Flat Rock State of Ohio and One Hundred Dollars for the benefit of broken down ministers widows and orphans of the Evangelical Association. After the above mentioned sums are payed and all of my just debts and Funeral Expenses are payed the remainder of My Estate Shall be equally divided, giving each of my heirs equal share any heir receiving money of Me during my Lifetime such heirs shall settle according to the books that their accounts are in keeping as an heirs book also all money that shall be payed out by my executors after my death shall be charged in heirs book and settlement made by said book.
