Biographical Information: Joe had lived in the Monon, Indiana, community most all of his life, and in Florida for the last twenty-five (25) years. He had worked at TRW Ross Gear in Lafayette for over twenty-seven (27) years, retiring in the mid 1980's. Joe was a lifetime member of the former Eagles Lodge of Monon, Indiana. He had served on the Monon Fire Department for twenty (20) years. Joe was an AVID softball pitcher, and was known as being the best ever. He was on a Horseshoe Pitching Club of Reynolds, Indiana, and enjoyed pitching horseshoes. Joe's greatest love was his family and friends. He also loved his horses and buggy. Joe had a passion for music and was known for playing the harmonica and guitar, he was very talented and gifted. Special Services: Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Monon Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Marriage Information: He married Imogene S. Wells. She survives. Survivors include: Wife, Imogene S. Jones of Battle Ground, Indiana; Twin Daughters, Darlene "Dolly" (husband Fred) Mayotte, and Lorene "Rinky" Gilbert, both of Reynolds, Indiana; Sons, Robert "Bob" (companion Nikki) Jones of Monon, Indiana, and Floyd "Pete" (wife Kathy) Jones of Cowden, Illinois; Sixteen (16) Grandchildren; Thrity-two (32) Great Grandchildren; Ten (10) Great Great Grandchildren; Sister, Thelma Pugh of Medaryville, Indiana; Brother, Virgil (companion Martha Bowsher) Jones of Buffalo, Indiana; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, and Cousins. Preceded in Death: Parents; Calvin J. and Minnie M. (Byrd) Jones; Infant Sister, Alta Jones; Son, William "Bill" Jones; Grandson, Jeffery L. Jones.
