Power Succumbs to an attack of Pneumonia J.C. Power died at his home on Main Street at 3:41 o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of only about a week, death being due to an attack of pneumonia. In the beginning he was taken ill and after a couple of days of confinement to the house he felt much better and went out into the cold air. His lungs became congested at once, pneumonia set in and his death followed. Mr. Power was a native of Rush County, Indiana, and was aged 72 years, 11 month and 10 days. He had been a resident of this state for nearly thirty years, the last twenty-three of which had been spent in Calistoga and vicinity. He was an industrious man, strictly honest and of the best habits, and enjoyed a large circle of friends. He leaves a wife and nine adult children, namely: John W. Power, Mrs. Manerva Simpson, Mrs. Mary J. Shaw, Andrew H., David E., Charles E., Newton T., Robert H., and Joseph A. Power. The funeral services were held at his late residence Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. U.E. Partride officiating, and were largely attended by relatives and old acquaintances. Interment was made in the Calistoga Cemetery
