Description	:	Joseph D. Henry, passed away on January 30, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born in Cambridge, MA, where he lived until the age of 10 and then he moved to Bangor, ME, with his family. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force. His travels took him all over the country as well as to Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan and Germany. Henry, passed away on January 30, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born in Cambridge, MA, where he lived until the age of 10 and then he moved to Bangor, ME, with his family. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force. His travels took him all over the country as well as to Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan and Germany. While stationed at Malstrom AFB, MT, he met and married the love of his life, Rose Mary Sramek. After 21 years of dedicated service, Joe retired in 1976 from the US Air Force as an Avionics Superintendent. After a short break, he started his second career at the US Postal Service. After 20 years, he retired in 1997 from management. Joe enjoyed life traveling together with his wife and life partner Rose; both were avid bowlers. He also enjoyed all sports, especially the Boston Celtics, Red Sox, and New England Patriots! He was well versed and could spark a conversation with anyone. He was a true leader, mentor, and coach! He leaves behind three children, Thomas (Mylynn) Henry, Scott (Maria) Henry, and Debra (Dale) Clark and 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Bob (Debbie) Henry of New Orleans, LA and Bill (Sue) Henry of Bangor, ME. Joe is now reunited with his wife Rose. There will be a viewing on February 5, 2019 from 2-7pm at the Fir Lane Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 924 East 176th Street, Spanaway, WA. Funeral services will be held on February 6, 2019 at 1 pm followed by a reception at Fir Lane Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
