Read More	DOBBS, JOSEPH- Death came suddenly Friday February 10th for a life long resident of this community in the person of Mr. Joseph Dobbs who was in his 82nd year. Mr. Dobbs had been a man who had enjoyed splendid health up until two weeks before his death, when he complained of his heart and was advised by his physician to keep to his bed. On Friday, he suffered a very serious heart attack of the heart but remained conscious until he slipped peacefully away. He was born in Biddulph Township and was the eldest living son of the late Joseph and Ann Dobbs. He lived all his life on the 4th concession of Biddulph until last December, when he went to live with his sister, Mrs. S. J. McLeod, of Lucan, where he died. He was never married. He is survived by two brothers, Freeman A., and Benjamin of the 4th concession of Biddulph, and two sisters, Mrs. S. J. McLeod of Lucan and Mrs. Sidney Wilson of Usborne. Mr. Dobbs was of a quiet disposition, but was held in the highest esteem by a wide circle of friends. Hew was especially well known, having threshed in the neighborhood for 52 years. He was a long-life member of St. Patrick's Church, Saintsbury. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with a short service at the home of his sister Mrs. S. J. McLeod, Lucan, followed by a service in St. James Church, Clandeboye, under the auspices of L.O.L. No. 493. of which he was a faithful member with internment in St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. The service was conducted by Rev. L. C. Harrison of Lucan in the absense of Rev. G. P. Parsons, Kirkton, who was unable to attend on account of the snow-blocked roads. The pallbearers were Harry Hodgins, Labanna Hodgins, Sidney Hodgins, Jas. Turner, Wesley Atkinson and Hugh Carroll. A Large crowd was present to pay their last tribute of respect.
