Description	:	Joseph Dobrichovsky was born in Czechoslovakia in the city of Jastrabi Hlota, April 5, 1889. When he was one year old his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dobrichovsky, immigrated to the United States with their children. Joseph was the youngest. His family came to Knox county, Nebraska. Here Joseph grew to manhood, where he learned to plow along with the art of agriculture. His school attendance taught him that he could someday become a part of a free government. Read More	Joseph Dobrichovsky was born in Czechoslovakia in the city of Jastrabi Hlota, April 5, 1889. When he was one year old his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dobrichovsky, immigrated to the United States with their children. Joseph was the youngest. His family came to Knox county, Nebraska. Here Joseph grew to manhood, where he learned to plow along with the art of agriculture. His school attendance taught him that he could someday become a part of a free government. Little did he dream that he would become a community leader. At age 27 on March 27, 1907, he married Miss Mary Tuch, also of sturdy pioneer stock. The young couple established a home on a farm. Seven children were born to them. They met the sorrow of the deaths of their twin babies, who died in infancy and the accidental death of their youngest son, Otto. He was a leader in the community, leading with honor and love. Mr. Dobrichovsky was president of Farmers Union local #197 for twenty-eight years; a member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association, Lodge #8 at Pishelville for thirty-one years. In this organization, he had attained the distinction of holding every office in the lodge. He was an officer in Western township for a number of years. Mr. Dobrichovsky had attained the age of 62 years 2 months and 14 days. at the time of his death, Friday, June 19. Surviving and left to mourn are his wife, Mary, and four children Frank of Verdel, Walter, Lottie (Edward Pavlik) and Miss Evelyn of Verdigre; four grandchildren. ...The Verdigre Eagle 25 June 1942 (Thanks goes to Gayle Neuhaus for this obit!)
