There he finished his education, receiving a degree in carpentry. Joe returned to Boone. He married Linda Wallace on September 3, 1976. Joe and Linda are the parents of three children. When Joe was 16, he went to Job Corp in South Dakota. There he finished his education, receiving a degree in carpentry. Joe returned to Boone. He married Linda Wallace on September 3, 1976. Joe and Linda are the parents of three children. The family made their home in Boone, and then later moved to Ogden. For 29 years, Joe worked for Heinrich Envelope Factory. He was most recently employed with Monsanto. He was an OSHA certified fork lift operator. Joe was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also hunted mushrooms and rocks. In years past, he was a Boy Scout helper. Joseph Williams, Sr. died December 20, 2015 at his home in Ogden. He was 58 years of age. Preceding him in death were his grandparents; father, Loyde; two brothers: Bob and Luke, and many other relatives. Survivors include wife, Linda Williams of Ogden, IA; 2 sons: Jon (wife, Marie) Williams of Ogden, IA; Joey (friend, Amanda) Williams of Boone, IA; daughter: Amy Block of Boone, IA; mother: Viola Williams of Boone, IA; 2 sisters: Marcy Pennington and Ruby Elsberry, both of Boone, IA; a brother, Ernie Williams of Marshalltown, IA; seven grandchildren: Dusty Benton, Cole Benton, Austin Block, Quentin Block, Odette Williams, Wyatt Williams and Lilly Williams; other relatives and friends.
