Description	:	Joe E. Sparks, 85, of 501 Elm Street, died Friday night. at 11 p. m. at Cherokee County Memorial Hospital after two weeks illness. A native of Cherryville, N.C., he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Watts Sparks. He had lived in Cherokee County most of his life He was a member of the Church of God and a retired textile employee. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p. m. He had three sons Otis,Cletus and James Sparks all of Gaffney,SC and daughters Vernie Wilburn,Nellie Ramsey,Blanche Fox,Charsie Crocker,Margaret Boyette,and Gladys Mullinax all of Gaffney,SC.Joe was the husband of Henrietta Banks Sparks. I would like to say thank you to who ever sent me the birthday and death day of Mr.Sparks. So thank you anonymous. Don't spend too much time in mourning Tears are for the sad I left to be with Jesus And this should make you Glad. Don't waste your hours in grieving, No need to feel distress I'm tired of lifes frustrations and had to get some rest. Don't vex yourself with questions or try to reason why Life here for me was ended; It came my time to die. Don't lose the love I gave you, feed it with your care, Grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere.
