Description	:	Joseph F. Dobry, the youngest son of Albert and Mary Erett Dobry was born July 24, 1907 east of Verdigre. He passed away on Jan. 25 at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. He grew to manhood west of Verdigre and graduated from the Verdigre Public School with the class of 1925. He then attended Wayne State Teacher's College and taught rural schools in the western part of Knox County for six years. Dobry, the youngest son of Albert and Mary Erett Dobry was born July 24, 1907 east of Verdigre. He passed away on Jan. 25 at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. He grew to manhood west of Verdigre and graduated from the Verdigre Public School with the class of 1925. He then attended Wayne State Teacher's College and taught rural schools in the western part of Knox County for six years. He moved to Creighton in the spring of 1935 and was employed in a supervisory capacity with the Works Progress Administration until 1942, at which time he secured employment with the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant in Grand Island during the Second World War. He returned to Creighton in the fall of 1945. He was then employed as Caseworker in the Knox County Welfare Office in January 1946, which position he retained until Jan. 1, 1957, when he was promoted to Welfare Director in the same office. He was a member of the Congregational-Baptist Church, served on the board of trustees, parish council and was at one time the assistant moderator. He was married to Edith N. Rish on Dec. 1933. One daughter, Sharyn, was born to this union. His wife passed away Aug. 31, 1947. He was united in marriage to Ann Christiansen of Plainview in 1951, who passed away in March of 1963. He married Margaret Eberly in November of 1963. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Sharyn; stepson, Ronald Eberly of Omaha; two brothers, Anton and Edward of Verdigre; three sisters, Ann Karsh and Albie Scheinost of North Bend and Marie Sparks of Fremont and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James, Frank and Emil Dobry. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ with Rev. Eugene Beye officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Art Huber, Sam Key, Eldon Owens, Bill Stokes, Harold Koppelman and Gordon Theis.
