Frank Barron, 82, of 436½ Wellington St. He died at his home at 11 a.m. Wednesday of Parkinson's disease; he had been ill for 18 months. Mr. Barron was born Sept. 11, 1875, in Lavansville, Pa., the son of David A. and Josephine Chorpenning Barron. Frank Barron, 82, of 436½ Wellington St. He died at his home at 11 a.m. Wednesday of Parkinson's disease; he had been ill for 18 months. Mr. Barron was born Sept. 11, 1875, in Lavansville, Pa., the son of David A. and Josephine Chorpenning Barron. The family came to Iowa when he was a small boy, and he lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired grocer, and a member of the First Methodist Church. On Sept. 11, 1900, he married Maude Washburn in Raymond. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Homer D., 334 Progress Ave., Kenneth R., 128 Lafayette St., and William A., 599 Reber Ave.; three daughters, Mrs. V. L. Currier, Compton, Calif.; Mrs. Dale Simpson, 116 East End Ave., and Mrs. Roger Hendry, Lake Worth, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Rigdon, Jesup; 19 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Dr. Fred Miller, pastor, will officiate at the service; burial will be in Waterloo cemetery. The body will be take to the church from Kearns-Dykeman Chapel at noon Friday. The family requests that instead of flowers, memorials be made in Mr. Barron's name to the church memorial fund. Published in The Courier (Waterloo, IA) on Thursday, October 3, 1957.
