| Description | : | Niobrara Pioneer Dies Funeral services were held Tuesday aftenoon last week for Joseph George, Knox county resident near Niobrara for fifty-five years. The rites were at Niobrara with burial in L'Eau Qui Court cemetery beside his wife, who died forty-one years ago. He was 84. Mr. George was born in Alsace Lorraine. He came to the United States, when 12 years old. In 1885 he homesteaded twelve miles east of Niobrara. November 1892 he married Gertrude Terpstra of Running Water, S.D.
