Joseph Gilbert Frazier descends from a family, that so far has been traced to Frederick Co Virginia around 1800. There is still a question or better confusion, about the actual first name of the patriarch, Alexander. So far, this descendent cannot find any suggest to the James or John being Alexander's actual first name. The only fragment is found on the West Virginia death certificate dated 1886 of my gggrandfather Robert Frazier [b.1819-d.1886] Wheeling, Ohio Co.,WVa. That fragment shown is J.A. Frazier, father, and Mary, mother. All other documents only show "Alexander" or Alexander J. Frazier. Joseph Gilbert Frazier and his family, along with several other families associated with the Frazier name, Migrated west about 1870. Some settled in Adams Co., Illinois, before moving Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and the Dakota's. There are many researchers for this family. We would like to be contacted by family members.
