Pallbearers were six grandsons: Gilbert Mark, Maurice Glass, Raymond Glass, Robert Glass, Marvin Simons, and Victor Mark. Mr. Glass, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 9, 1859, in Peru, Illinois. He married Katharina Dieringer at Arlington, Illinois in 1882. Nine years later they came to Carroll county. Ten years ago they moved to Carroll, where Mrs. Glass died Oct. 23, 1936. Five children survive Mr. Glass: Joseph Glass, Jr., Mrs. H.J. Simons and Edward Glass, all of Carroll; Mrs. E.J. Mark, Platte Center, Neb., and John Glass of Odebolt. Besides his wife, a sister and brother preceded him in death. Relatives from a distance who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Mark and sons Gilbert and Victor, Platte Center, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. John Glass, and Raymond, Robert and Mary Agnes Glass, all of Odebolt; Mrs. Frank Feterl, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn C. Miller, and Mrs. William Streff, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cork, Joseph Mark and Mrs. Forrest Searl of Princeton, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dieringer and daughter, Mary Frances of Hurdland, Mo.; John Sheridan of Edina, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Killeen and Walter Killeen of Westside.
