Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery with Trojan lodge, No. 548, A.F. and A.M. in charge. Mr. Unangst was born Feb. 22, 1844 in Transfer, Mercer county Pa. He came west in 1865, making the trip to Chicago by boat, and to Jackson county, Iowa, by team. He was married to Lucy Amelia Hull, Dec. 24, 1873, and they began housekeeping in Clinton county. Six children were born to them, three of whom, Miss Joyce Unangst, of Chicago, Mrs. Helen Straley of Marion, and Mrs. Eloise Engle of Holland, Mich., are living. All will be present at the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. Unangst moved to Marion about forty-five years ago, and resided here many years. Mr. Unangst served as postmaster and was also a member of the city council during his residence in Marion. In 1909 they moved to Montana, and in 1919 to Chicago, where Mrs. Unangst died six years ago. Mr. Unangst made his home with his daughter in Chicago until a year ago, when he moved to Holland, Mich., to live with Mrs. Engle. He died Wednesday, having failed rapidly during the last month. Besides his children, Mr. Unangst is survived by two grandchildren, Richard Straley of Marion and Mrs. Robert Roach of Chicago; two great grandchildren and one brother, Thomas, in Pennsylvania. He was a member of Trojan lodge, No. 548 A.F. and A.M.
