Mr. Eyre, a retired farmer and well known resident of this community, died Tuesday at 8:30 p m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs George McClellan of Seaman, Rt 1. He had 'been bedfast for several months, and death resulted from complications Mr. Eyre was born in Highland county, near Fairfax, a son of the late Lewis and Cecelia Eyre. On Dec 25, 1884, he was married to Dora Chambers. He is survived by seven children: Lewis of Winchester, Estel and Joseph Cecil of Akron, Rev. Charles E. of Beaver, Raymond of Mowrystown, Lenn(?) of Sardina and Mrs McClellan of Seaman; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death, Feb 17, 1928, and a son, Otis, died July 25, 1911. Mr Eyre united with the Bethel Presbytenan Church early in life. After the Mt Calvary Presbyterian., Church was built he transferred his membership there. The last rites will be conducted at Mr. Calvary church by Rev. E M. Duffey. Lewis & Son Funeral Home will be in charge of burial in the church cemetery.
