Description	:	Son of George Aspen and Mary Agnes Shaw. In 1871 in England, he married Alice Bury. Their children were George Houghton and Robert Joseph Aspden. They divorced in 1892 in San Francisco, California. In the late 1890s, he began regularly visiting the family of Christopher Gray. He appears with the family in the 1900 census and with Mrs. Gray in the 1910 census. On September 30, 1912, he married Mrs. Mary Ann Agnew Gray.
