Description	:	Joe Woita was born Jan. 10, 1929 to Joe and Mary (Machek) Woita of Weston. He is a graduated of Weston High School After high school he began working as a painter. Joe and Rita met at Scott's Lake and were married April 2, 1951. Joe moved his painting and decorating business to North Bend after their marriage. He painted numerous houses and business, including the Catholic Parish Center, in North Bend and surrounding areas. Joe played baseball with numerous surrounding town teams, including North Bend. Joe and Rita had six children, all graduates of NBS. Ron was born Feb. 11, 1952, and is married to Meg Peters. They have two children, Trevor (now stationed in Germany with the Army Air Force ) and Cortney. Steve was born on Dec. 12, 1954. He married Anne Wilkie and they have three daughters, Elise, Krissy, and Elizabeth. Steve has his own business, Woita Forest Products. Lea was born on March 27, 1955, and now married Wayne Sissel. They moved Colorado where they own and opitcal company. They have three sons, Chris and Sean, and a grandaughter Hannah. Marge was born Nov. 19, 1959. She attended UNL . She married Scott Dirkschneider and they have two children, Andrea and Eric Scott has been in the construction business and Marge is the designer. Sherry was born on Dec. 23, 1967. She attended Platte College on a music scholarship. Later she entered the Army and was a paratrooper. She married Steven Cash and had three girls, kayla Kelsey and Loren. Loren was killed in a traffic accident when she was four years old. Jeff was born Dec. 12, 1969. He went to Bellevue College on a baseball scholarship and then later to Kansas State where he played baseball and graduated. He worked for Enterprise Car Rental for three years and then went to work with Steve in Lincoln. Jeff married Marcie Miller and they have three children Jase, Aly and Ian. Joe died Aug. 11, 2005 at North Bend. Vigil service 7 pm August 14 at St. Charles Catholic Church with funeral service 10:30 am August 15. Interment is at North Bend Cemetery. Arrangements Moser Memorial North Bend.
