Services were held at 1:30 p.m. August 26 in the Clutier Funeral Chapel, with Robert Kurtz, Minister of Clutier Community church, officiating. Luella Hora was. organist and among selections played were "In The Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Floral attendants were Mrs. Robert Eisele and Mrs. Leo Parizek. Burial was in National cemetery, east of Vining. with the following serving as pallbearers: James Sienknecht, Leo Parizek, George Kremenak. Lyle Sienknecht, Robert Eisele and William Peterzalek. Mason-Hand Funeral Home, Tama-Clutier, was in charge of arrangements. Born June 16, 1895 in York township, the son of Joseph and Mary Karkosh Yanda. He married Ruth Macek of rural Chelsea on May22, 1917 at Toledo. The couple resided in Clutier their entire married life. Mr. Yanda was employed at various businesses before his retirement. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge in Clutier and a retired member of the Clutier Fire Department, after 25 years. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, a daughter, Mildred (Mrs. Edwin) Hansen, Belle Plaine; a grandson, Lyle Hansen, rural Chelsea; a great-grandson, Justin F. Hansen, rural Chelsea; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Gearhart; of Twelvemile Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
