Johnston was called to Clarence to meet Mr. and Mrs. Will Forman, who were called to the bedside of Joe Brubaker; and at two in the night of Tuesday Z. A. Rogers was called to meet the two o'clock train for John Brubaker of Heston, Kans., who was called to the bedside of his brother, Joe Brubaker. Joe Potter went to meet the noon train Wednesday to meet Lee Brubaker and take him to the home of his father, who was very sick at the time. Mr. Brubaker was not able to recognize any of his relatives when they arrived. He took worse Monday noon, the 26th, and grew worse every day until Thursday p. m., when death came to relieve his suffering. He passed peacefully away. He had been bedfast for over five weeks. He never eat but a few spoons full in all the time he was sick, of soup. In all that time he was sick his suffering was very great, but he bore it without a murmur. He was a good neighbor and a man of good morals. His funeral was preached by Rev. Ira Buckwater of Pea Ridge. Mo., in the Methodist church. His body was laid to rest in the old Menonite cemetery. He leaves a good and faithful wife and five sons: Henry, who lives in Idaho and Notley of Utah; Lee and Reuben of Nebraska and Carl, who is at home. Three daughters: Mrs. Warner Head of Idaho; Mrs. Clarence Wood and Miss Dollie, both of Cherry Box. Besides a host of relatives and friends who mourn his loss. His family feel very grateful to their many friends who so willingly and kindly helped to care for Mr. Brubaker in his last illness and death. The family has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood. We will say, look to God, who is able and willing to help you in this time of trouble....Messrs Notley and Lee Brubaker left for home Monday, December 3. Notley will stop at the home of his brother, Lee in Nebraska and make them a short visit and then he will go to his home in Utah....Sol Mishler's two sons who are visiting their mother's people at present, came over to meet their cousins at Mrs. Joe Bruhaker's Saturday. They oniy stayed a short time....Mr. and Mrs. Steffen was able to be out to the funeral Saturday of Mr. Brunbaker....John Brubaker says that he will remains here with his relatives and friends a few days longer....He is a welcome guest.....
