Mrs. Mercer Davis of Superior and Mrs. Don Mills of Terril sang two duets: "Life's Railway to Heaven" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand." They were accompanied by Mrs. Delbert Johnson at the organ. Pallbearers were Mercer Davis of Superior, Don Ginger and John Pute of Langdon, and John Johnson, Delbert Johnson and Melvin Johnson. Interment wasin Riverside Cemetery at Spencer. Mr. Daniel was born July 24, 1877 in Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Daniel. He was married to Carrie Jackson, May 11, 1911, at Rockwell City. They moved to Clay County in 1916, and farmed in Clay and Emmet counties until moving to Estherville in 1943. Mr. Daniel was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and five sons. They are Mrs. S.J. (Nellie) Mustard of Estherville, Mrs. Rex (Ethel) Moore of Lincoln, Nebr., Mrs. Leona Barton of Spencer, Ben of Des Moines, twins Virgil of Des Moines and Verl of Spencer, Leonard of Spencer and Francis of Garvin. Other survivors includ 35 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one brother, William of St Charles. Preceding him in death were one daughter, Marie Elizabeth and four brothers, five sisters and his parents.
