| Description | : | Joseph was born in Maidenhead Twp., old Hunterdon Co., NJ (now Lawrence Twp., Mercer Co.), the son of Salathiel and Abigail Peirson/Pierson. He married Jemima Hart on 3 Dec. 1795 in Pennington, Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co. They had 9 children together, all of whom are linked below. Joseph was a farmer on Cold Soil Road. He joined the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church in 1810, and was a church trustee in 1824.
