His home was at 1114 Oak street. Mr. Meeker was born in Muscatine county on April 6, 1874, the son of Josephus W. and Elizabeth Reichley Meeker. His home was at 1114 Oak street. Mr. Meeker was born in Muscatine county on April 6, 1874, the son of Josephus W. and Elizabeth Reichley Meeker. He received his education in Muscatine county and at Letts high school. He was graduated as a pharmacist from the Highland Park college in Des Moines. In 1898 he married Nellie Fry and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Jan. 12 of this year. Mr. Meeker was a lifelong member of the First Evangelical United Brethren church and was also a member of the Masonic lodge at Letts. Surviving are his wife, two children, Maurice Meeker, Laramie, Wyo., and Marion Powers, Muscatine; a half brother W. Ernest Meeker, and a half sister Mrs. John Lee, both of Letts. Preceding him in death were his parents, and one sister, Mrs. Oscar Chapman. The body is at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home and will remain there until Friday when services will be conducted at the First Evangelical and United Brethren church by the pastor, the Rev. J. Arthur Eveland.
