Joe spent the earliest years of his life in that same area. He was united in marriage to Mildred Hunt in the home of her parents in Malvern, on March 22, 1916. To this union, five sons were born. Read More	Last Rites Held Monday for Joe R. Mayberry Joe Ralph Mayberry was born on Oct. 9, 1893 in Burt County, Nebr., to Joseph and Anna Agan Mayberry. Joe spent the earliest years of his life in that same area. He was united in marriage to Mildred Hunt in the home of her parents in Malvern, on March 22, 1916. To this union, five sons were born. Joe farmed near Decatur, Nebr., until in the late 1920's, then lived in the East Liberty community, north of Malvern, for many years. In 1959 they moved to Malvern, making their home their since that time. Joe was the last of his family, being preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and by three sisters. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Don who died at age 3; and Clair, who was killed in Korea in 1946. He is survived by his wife, now of Sidney Iowa Health Center, by three sons: Wilbur of Oakland, Neil of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Fay, of Randolph; by nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Raynor, Lett, and Kent Funeral Home in Glenwood on Monday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Charles E. Cowell, Jr., officiant. Mrs. Charles Goodell attended the registry book and the hymn selection was "in the Garden." Casket beares were Willard Badje, Bruce Johnk, Adolph Modlin, Robert Mayberry, Randall Peck, and Neil Trammer. Graveside rites and internment were at 2:30 p.m. at the Lyons, Nebraska cemetery.
