Mr. Dodd received his education in the Jasper county schools and spent all of his early life near Colfax, IA. Joseph lived a number of years at Lorimor, New Hope Twp., Union Co., IA and later moved to Colorado and then to Wyoming where he married his wife Pearl. Mr. Dodd received his education in the Jasper county schools and spent all of his early life near Colfax, IA. Joseph lived a number of years at Lorimor, New Hope Twp., Union Co., IA and later moved to Colorado and then to Wyoming where he married his wife Pearl. Joseph returned to Iowa in 1924, the past 19 years being spent near Osceola, Colfax and Collins. Early in life he united with the Bethel Wesleyan Methodist church. He had spent the majority of his life in farming and the buying and selling of livestock. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him and was always ready to help any who were in need. He possessed a cheerful disposition always looking upon the bright side of life even in the times of trouble and severe pain. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
