Mr. Wright was born March 29, 1920, in the Arion Township to Walter A. Wright and Amy L. Mosburg. He married Madeline Sicard Sept. 24, 1942, at Kingman, Kan. They lived on the farm and he also worked at the Hansen Livestock Sale Barn. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife Madeline and a son, Larry Wright of Warsaw, Mo.; also a brother, Robert Wright and wife Bonnie of Colorado Springs; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. Ted was a lifetime farmer on a farm three miles south of Concordia. He enjoyed going to Grandpa and Grandma Sicards in the 50's to play cards on Sunday night. Ted and his father-in-law, "Shorty," loved to go coon hunting together. His family also enjoyed going to Colorado to visit his brother, Robert and family. Ted was introduced to a new pastime by his son Larry in 1984. His pastime was bass fishing the tournament trail. In the first 10 years, they qualified eight times to go to the national finals. The Nationals took them to Oklahoma, Missouri and Tennessee. He also dreamed of winning the big one. In 1997, before his illness, their dream was on its way. In July, Ted and Larry were two points out of first place. Madeline went to almost every tournament that Ted and Larry fished. It was our family pastime.
