Dyer Died Wednesday Evening Furneral services for Mrs Josephine Dyer of Scranton, mother of D.V. Dyer of Carroll, who died Wednesday night will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral Home in Scranton, where the body is resting until that time. Burial will be in the Scranton Cemetery. Mrs Dyer passed away at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night in the Greene County Hospital at Jefferson, where she had been a patient for about a month. Her death followed a long period of ill health. About five years ago she submitted to an operation for the amputation of her leg and she had been confined to a wheel chair since that time. She was sixty seven years old. Mrs Dyer spent virtually all her life in Greene, County where she was born Aug. 15, 1870. Her husband James Dyer, passed away about 12 years ago. Survivors include four sons and one daughter: D.V. Dyer, Carroll; Maynard Dyer, Evanston, Ill; James C. Dyer, a guard at the federal prison at Steilacoom, Wash; Russell Dyer, Clarinda, and Mrs Vir Moyle, Union Grove, Wis; two brothers, H. S. Thompson, of Minneapolis, and George Thompson, of Boone, and one sister, Mrs Edgar Williams, of Boone. Maynard Dyer of Evanston, Mrs Vir Moyle of Union Grove, Wis, and Mr and Mrs H. S. Thompson of Minneapolis have arrived to attend the funeral. This was published in the Daily Times Herald, Carroll, Iowa. 1938 This is Haven's great grandmother. He never knew her, but had heard stories of her from his grandmother Moyle. REST IN SWEET HEAVENLY PEACE GREAT GRANDMOTHER DYER.
