A memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 1999 at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. James Kidd officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. She was born Oct. 6, 1914 in Sioux County to Loring C. and Cliffie (Covalt) Robinson. She received her education at Loon Lake, Wash., schools and graduated from Hot Springs, S.D., in 1933. She married William Hinman Oct. 22, 1947 at Dalton. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and she served as a card chairperson for the Presbyterian Women's Association for many years. She was secretary for the Sunday school at Berea and helped with Bible school at Berea and Lisco. She loved reading her Bible and read many books weekly until her sight failed her. She had a great interest in genealogy and wrote many poems, one of which was published. She was "Grandma Jo" to the first grade in 1990 and had a large stamp collection. She enjoyed all activities at Heritage. She did a lot of crocheting and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her sister, Francis Collins of Manderson, Wyo.; several nieces and nephews, including Harvey Collins of Cody, Wyo., and Lucille Powell of Bridgeport; sisters-in-law, Mable McIrvin of Bridgeport and Edna Davis of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother-in-law, Harvey Hinman of Moses Lake, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and her parents.
