She was baptized as an infant on October 14, 1914 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York. She confirmed her faith in the Lord on May 27, 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Read More	Josephine Elizabeth Cotner Jackson, daughter of Otto and Lena (Maronde) Junge, was Born September 25, 1914 in York County, Nebraska. She was baptized as an infant on October 14, 1914 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York. She confirmed her faith in the Lord on May 27, 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. On August 2, 1936 she was united in marriage to Kelso L. Cotner at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, York. This union was blessed with three daughters and one son. Her husband died in 1971. on August 1, 1982, she married Donald E. Jackson of York. He died in November, 1982. Josephine was a 1931 graduate of Benedict High School. After Marriage in 1936, she lived on the farm until 1951 when she and her husband moved to York. She worked at the Ideal Café for 13 Years, owned Duncan's Café from 1960-65 and worked at Baer's Furniture until 1977. At Retirement, she was an active volunteer with York General Hospital/Hearthstone Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the York County Blood Bank, Meals on Wheels and was also an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The Lord called her to His heavenly home on April 20, 1992 at the age of 77. Survivors include three daughters and one son: Joyce (Don) Dahlgren of McCool Jct.,Nebr. Kathleen (Sigmund) Bohnet of Collinsville, Ill., Keith (Sally) Cotner of Woodridge, Va. and Lori (Fred) Ehlers of York. Also Surviving is a Stepson Roger (Jayne) Jackson of York and a stepdaughter Marilyn Smith of Omaha, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grand children, 5 step grandchildren and 4 step grand-children. The three brothers and 5 sisters surviving are; Raymond (Ruth) Junge of York, Eleanor (Harold) Kohtz of Hastings, Wallace (Bernice)Junge of York, Laura (Dean) Harlow of Hastings, Gladys (Homer) Rathert of Ava, IL., Betty (Robert) White of Delevan, WI., Ruth Ann (Arlo) Vandenbos of Gresham, OR., and Merrill (Pat) Junge of LaMirada CA. Also surviving are brother-in-law: Elmer Berndt of Hastings, Leonard (Elizabeth) Strobel of Clarks and Tom (Francis) Cotner of Greeley, CO. and sister-in-law Beverly (Duane) Burney of Grand Island, Ne.
