Born in Ashley, Ind., Josephine worked with several insurance agencies including DeHayes & Associates before her retirement. She was a member of Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 50-year member of the Noble Chapter 122 Eastern Star in Kendallville, Ind., Indiana Business Woman's Association, and National Association of Insurance Women. Jo enjoyed knitting, being around her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her son, Phillip Stackhouse of Fort Wayne; daughter, Diane (Stanley) Wells of Clermont, Fla.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Service is 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Rev. Mark Gough officiating. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star service during the calling hours. Burial in Fairfield Center Cemetery, Corunna, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church.
