Description	:	Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in DeWitt for Mrs. Josephine M. Cox, 88, of Mount Alverno, formerly of DeWitt, who died Monday at Mercy Hospital. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Rev. Francis P. Kelley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Patrick Welch, James Welch, Donald Costello, Bernard Costello, Carl Nord and David Ludvigsen. Visitation begins at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hanrahan funeral home, DeWitt. Mrs. Cox was born Josephine Farber on Jan. 7, 1882 [sic-Jan. 8, 1883], at McCausland, the daughter of Henry and Martha Randolph Farber. On June 5, 1902, she married John Cox. She had lived for the last several years at Mount Alverno in Clinton. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Petersen of Charlotte, Mrs. Gertrude Costello and Mrs. Oswald F. (Madeline) Welch, both of Clinton; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. May Hammer of Clinton and Mrs. Mary Jones of McCausland.
