Description	:	Josephine (Hafner) Magstadt, 89 June 6, 1925 - October 31, 2014 Funeral services for Josephine Magstadt were held Nov. 7 at Dindot-Klusmann Chapel, Lennox, with the Rev. Jeff Dobesh officiating. Music was provided by Anna Even and the congregation. Pallbearers were Justin Jonason, Chad Nelson, Bobby Nelson, Shawn Hoellein, Dustin Hoellein and Luke Rahe. Interment was in the Grace Hill Cemetery, Tripp. Josephine Theresa Hafner was born June 6, 1925, near Parkston, the daughter of John and Katherine (Thurner) Hafner. Interment was in the Grace Hill Cemetery, Tripp. Josephine Theresa Hafner was born June 6, 1925, near Parkston, the daughter of John and Katherine (Thurner) Hafner. She graduated from Parkston High School in 1943. She went on to earn her registered nursing degree from Mount Marty College. She enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps for several years and began her nursing career at the St. Cloud V.A. Medical Center. She worked at the St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston, St. Joseph Hospital, Mitchell, Sioux Valley and Mc-Kennan Hospitals in Sioux Falls. She worked for over 25 years at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center until retirement. On Aug. 26, 1955, she married Reuben E. Magstadt at Pipestone, Minn. The couple lived in Parkston, Marion, Sioux Falls and settled in Tea. Reuben died June 28, 1978. She died Friday, October 31, at the Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one son-in-law. She is survived by her children: Gordon Boeckermann, Sioux Falls, Glen (Sandy) Nelson, Lennox, Cheryl Dobesh, Elkton, Barb (Roger) Meyers, Crooks, and Lynn (Gary) Hoellien, Sioux Falls; step-children: Donald Magstadt, Minneapolis, Minn., Kaye Kummer, Mitchell, and Myra (Frank) Williams, Ainsworth, Neb.; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
