Josephine Bosch Malone was born December 14, 1913 in Linton, ND, the sixth of twelve children born to Alexander and Margaret (Meier) Bosch. She graduated from Linton High School in 1931 and began work at the J. C. Penney store for the princely sum of nine cents an hour, a good wage for women in those days. Read More	Josephine Malone, 93, Mobridge, SD, formerly of Linton, ND, died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Golden Living Center, Mobridge, SD. Josephine Bosch Malone was born December 14, 1913 in Linton, ND, the sixth of twelve children born to Alexander and Margaret (Meier) Bosch. She graduated from Linton High School in 1931 and began work at the J. C. Penney store for the princely sum of nine cents an hour, a good wage for women in those days. Josephine remembered marching in the Armistice Day parade at the end of World War I, dressed as Uncle Sam. She married L. P. "Pat" Malone on May 1, 1935. Josephine was a life long member of St. Anthony's Church and active in Christian Mothers, Linton Homemakers, Emmons County Historical Society and Linton Hospital Auxiliary. Josephine enjoyed many crafts and was an international award winning quilter. This award, in 1999, from the American Quilters Society, resulted in the family traveling to Nashville, TN, where Josephine was kept busy autographing programs, much to her delight. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking everyone's family favorite recipes, canning, baking, and listening to her grandchildren play music. The occasions when family could get together were her favorite times. Josephine is survived by one sister: Jeanette Frison, Linton; two daughters and one son-in-law: Mary Jane and Gordon Klabo of Grand Forks, ND, and Colleen Malone of Mobridge, SD; one son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Judy Malone of Omaha, NE, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat in 1991. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND, with Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be in the Linton Cemetery. Arrangements by Myers Funeral Home.
