Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. “The Herald” (Piedmont, W.Va.), Friday 19 February 1915: Josiah Sigler passed away Friday morning of last week, February 12, 1919, at 8:15 o’clock at his home on Westernport hill, after a lingering illness of six months, age 72 years. He is survived by one son and two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Fisher, of Washington, D.C., Miss Anna Sigler, of Westernport, and Mr. W. T. Sigler, of Piedmont. Mr. Sigler was a highly esteemed citizen, noted for his honorable and upright dealings and interest in the welfare of the town. He was born and reared in Garrett County, Md., and was a veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted at the age of eighteen in Company A, 2nd Maryland regiment. He served three years taking part in the famous Hunter’s Raid. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from his late residence. Rev.
