On Nov. 19, 1893, he was united in marriage to Ella Hoffman. To this union was born one son, Loren, who died in 1931. On Nov. 19, 1893, he was united in marriage to Ella Hoffman. To this union was born one son, Loren, who died in 1931. After the death of his wife, in 1943, he was again married on March 14, 1945, to Mamie Tyler, who survives. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one sister (Mrs. Sue Collings, Grand Rapids, Mich.), and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. He united with the Bowne Mennonite Church many years ago and was a faithful member to the end. He was an active man, of good judgment, and highly esteemed in the community. Death came as a result of cerebral hemorrhage which occurred five days previous. Funeral services were held, April 25, at the Bowne Mennonite Church, Elmdale, Mich., in charge of Dan Zook, D. A. Yoder, and T. E. Schrock, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
