Description	:	Mrs. Josina Fredericke Rorden, a daughter of Mr. Fedder Froedden and his wife Christina, nee Ludwigsen, was born at Alkersum on the island of Foehr, Germany, September 18, 1880, and baptized there in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran congregation soon after her birth. In 1895, March 31, she was confirmed in the same congregation by Rev. Ludwig Weber. On April 6, 1900, she entered holy wedlock with Mr. Arend Julius Rorden. Read More	Mrs. Josina Fredericke Rorden, a daughter of Mr. Fedder Froedden and his wife Christina, nee Ludwigsen, was born at Alkersum on the island of Foehr, Germany, September 18, 1880, and baptized there in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran congregation soon after her birth. In 1895, March 31, she was confirmed in the same congregation by Rev. Ludwig Weber. On April 6, 1900, she entered holy wedlock with Mr. Arend Julius Rorden. In October 1903 she immigrated with her husband and two daughters to the United States of America, settling near Staplehurst, Seward county, Nebraska. Having resided with her family four years on a farm northeast of Staplehurst, she moved with her husband and three daughters on a farm southeast of Staplehurst and five years later in 1913, on a farm two and one half miles east of Staplehurst. On the 7th of April she traveled to Burlington, Colorado to visit her second daughter, Mrs. Erich Ringler, who was seriously ill. After a few days, after the daughter had begun to recover, the mother suffered an attack of influenza and then of pneumonia. Last Saturday, April 20, 1929, at 4 o'clock a.m., she passed away at the age of 48 years, 7 months and 2 days, trusting, as we confidently hope, in her Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, one son-in-law, three grandchildren, one sister and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 22, at the home and in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church at Staplehurst, Rev. A. A. Schormann and Rev. W. F. Rittamel officiating.
