Description	:	Joyce Ann Anciaux, the daughter of Herbert and Gladys Marquesen Lensch, was born August 6, 1926, at her parents' home near Kimballton, Iowa and died October 11, 2008, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 5 days. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa. She attended school in Kimballton/ Elk Horn, then graduated from the Exira High School with the Class of 1943. Read More	Joyce Ann Anciaux, the daughter of Herbert and Gladys Marquesen Lensch, was born August 6, 1926, at her parents' home near Kimballton, Iowa and died October 11, 2008, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 5 days. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa. She attended school in Kimballton/ Elk Horn, then graduated from the Exira High School with the Class of 1943. Joyce then worked for her father. October 5, 1944, she was united in marriage to William L. Anciaux by Pastor S. E. Wright at the Federated United Church of Christ in Exira, Iowa. One son Herbert R. was born to this union. They lived in Massachusetts for six months until Bill was sent overseas. Joyce returned to Exira and stayed with her parents. Bill was honorably discharged and returned to Exira and joined Joyce. Joyce was a homemaker and took good care of Bill, Herb, Lisa and others. She enjoyed her home and spending special time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce was an avid gardener, both flowers and vegetables, and enjoyed cooking and canning. Joyce was a member of the Federated United Church of Christ and was the Women's Fellowship Treasurer for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers: Herbert (Bud) Lensch; Bill and wife Treva Lensch; and Buel Lensch and her brother-in-law Joe McKibben. Survivors include her husband William L. Anciaux of Exira, IA; her son Herb R. and his wife Marcia Anciaux of Lenexa, KS; her grandchildren: Todd and wife Kim Anciaux of Wichita, KS and their children: Ella, William, and Nicholas; Sara and husband Paul Murans of Carmel, IN and their children Dylan and Carter; her niece/daughter Lisa and husband Terry R. Knutsen of Exira and their children: Veronica Knutsen and her friend Tyler Meaike and their son Carson of Audubon; Tessa Knutsen of Exira; Trever Knutsen of Atlantic, IA; her brother Wendell and wife Norma Lensch of Exira; her sisters-in-law: Ruby Lensch of St. Simon's Island, GA; Barbara Lensch of Glidden, IA; and Orlynn McKibben of Audubon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary casket bearers will be Bart Peppers and Dennis Smouse. Kessler Funeral Home
