Description	:	Joyce Ellen (Hamilton) Silver, 87, of Williamsport, IN, passed this life into the next on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the home of her daughter. Joyce and her twin sister, Janet , were born to Claude and Trudy (McCord) Hamilton on March 17, 1934 in East Lynn, IL at the home of her grandparents, Frank and Mabel (Luxton) McCord. Joyce graduated from Williamsport High School in 1952 and later attended Utterback Business School in Danville. She then worked at the ASCS Office in Williamsport for several years. Read More	Joyce Ellen (Hamilton) Silver, 87, of Williamsport, IN, passed this life into the next on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the home of her daughter. Joyce and her twin sister, Janet , were born to Claude and Trudy (McCord) Hamilton on March 17, 1934 in East Lynn, IL at the home of her grandparents, Frank and Mabel (Luxton) McCord. Joyce graduated from Williamsport High School in 1952 and later attended Utterback Business School in Danville. She then worked at the ASCS Office in Williamsport for several years. She married Tom Silver on February 15, 1958 in Attica, IN and were blessed with two children. She lived in rural Williamsport where she and her husband farmed for many years. Joyce was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was recently honored for playing the organ for 50 years. Joyce was a member of the Democrat Womens Organization, Prairie Lamplighters Home Ec Club and the Catholic Ladies Guild. Joyce moved to Williamsport in 2000. She loved crocheting, reading, playing dominoes with her friends, and spending time with her family. She was a great cook and took over the noodle and chop suey making after the death of her mother. Joyce was always ready with chocolate candy to give to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews when they came to visit. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; a son, John; and her twin sister, Janet. She is survived by one daughter; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Rasner officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Attica.
