Description	:	Joyce Elmo Keyser, 79, of 109 reservoir Ave., Luray, died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Page Memorial Hospital. She was born on Dec. 27, 1931 in Luray and was a daughter of the late Fred Lee and Vertie Florence Hinton Gochenour. Mrs. Keyser was a 1949 graduate of Luray High School. She moved to Falls Church in 1956 and worked as a financial clerk for the city of Falls Church, retiring with 20 years of service. She was active for many years in the Arlington Church of the Brethren and enjoyed playing the piano, attending Bible study, listening to gospel music... She was born on Dec. 27, 1931 in Luray and was a daughter of the late Fred Lee and Vertie Florence Hinton Gochenour. Mrs. Keyser was a 1949 graduate of Luray High School. She moved to Falls Church in 1956 and worked as a financial clerk for the city of Falls Church, retiring with 20 years of service. She was active for many years in the Arlington Church of the Brethren and enjoyed playing the piano, attending Bible study, listening to gospel music and traveling. Mrs. Keyser and her husband moved back to Luray in 2005. She was known as an excellent cook and her pies and cakes were especially appreciated. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren. On Dec 26, 1950, she married Richard Lee Keyser, who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Wanda Keyser May and husband George May of Tryon, N. C. and Carolyn Keyser Ocel and husband Ray Ocel of Herndon; a son, Gregory R. Keyser and wife Karen Keyser of Round Hill; three brothers, Garnett Gochenour of Stanley and Joseph Keith and Nelson Hinton Gochenour, both of Luray; five sisters, Rena Josephine Lesko of Ohio, Lennis Barbara Lucas of Waldron, Mich., Hilda Marguerite Moyer of Luray, Valda Elizabeth Short of Archbold, Ohio and Ruth Evelyn Stump of Harrisonburg and five grandchildren, Amanada Ocel, Jesse Ocel, Natalie Ocel, Richard Keyser and Robert Keyser. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Emmett Nevin 'Ned' Elwood Lee and Carson Yowell Gochenour and two sisters, Dorothy Marie Gochenour and Alma Florence Rupp. Burial at the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
