Born in Boiling Springs, N.C., she was the wife of Jimmie Ray Hughey and daughter of the late Dever Jolley and Rosie McCraw Jolley. She was a graduate of Howard's Business College, a former bookkeeper for Cudd's Certified Public Accountants and Liberty Life Insurance. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Phil Hughey and wife, Kathy, of Bonita Springs, Fl.,; two daughters, Pamela McSwain and husband, Eddie, of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Patti Funderburk and husband, Mark, of Greenville; a brother, George Jolley Jr. and wife, Rae, of Mooresboro, N.C.; four sisters, Laladge Moss and husband, Leland, of Earl, N.C., Annie Randolph of Gaffney, Shirley Martin and husband, Robert, of Gaffney and Flora Ruppe and husband, Jerry, of Gastonia, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Justin, Brandi, Kristopher, Jackson, Brittani, Elizabeth and Will. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. James Blackwood, Dr. Donnie Padgett and the Rev. Roger Ham officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
