Description	:	Joyce Tipton, age 82, of Broadus, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Powder River Manor with her family nearby. Joyce Bandy Tipton was born on January 14, 1929. She was the fourth child of Frank and Hannah Bandy. Joyce married Alfred "Buck" Tipton in 1948. They had two children, Duane A. Tipton of San Diego, California and Frank V. Tipton of Gainesville, Florida. Joyce grew up on a ranch in Carter County and attended grade school in Ekalaka. She attended high school in Broadus and graduated in 1947. Joyce Bandy Tipton was born on January 14, 1929. She was the fourth child of Frank and Hannah Bandy. Joyce married Alfred "Buck" Tipton in 1948. They had two children, Duane A. Tipton of San Diego, California and Frank V. Tipton of Gainesville, Florida. Joyce grew up on a ranch in Carter County and attended grade school in Ekalaka. She attended high school in Broadus and graduated in 1947. She was active in 4-H and learned to sew at an early age. Buck and Joyce came back to Broadus in 1986 and she took care of her father until he passed on in 1989. She had been busy sewing for a lot of people in the area. She was very active in community programs. She was a greeter at the Powder River Historical Museum, active at the Powder River Senior Center, and helped at the Recycle Center. She liked country music and loved to dance. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Buck in 1994, one sister, two brothers, and her parents. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus, Montana.
