Description	:	Joye Anderson Joye Bess Anderson, 71, of Fort Madison, died at 5:55 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2004, at the Fort Madison Health Center. Born April 2, 1933, near Chambersburg, Mo., she was the daughter of Herbert and Violet Kerr Gresham. In 1954, she married Earl Counts. He preceded her in death. Born April 2, 1933, near Chambersburg, Mo., she was the daughter of Herbert and Violet Kerr Gresham. In 1954, she married Earl Counts. He preceded her in death. On Oct. 8, 1983, she married Dale Anderson. Mrs. Anderson worked at various local factories, including sewing gloves at the glove factory in Bonaparte. She also sold Avon for many years, during which she received several awards including the President's Club. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montrose. She enjoyed singing, dancing and taking trips to Florida. Survivors include her husband of Fort Madison; one son, Mark Counts; one stepson, Roger Anderson; two stepdaughters, Vicky Van Winkle and Charlotte Anderson, and two grandsons. Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m. A funeral mass for Mrs. Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church with the Revs. Christopher David and Gerald Hoenig officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established.
