Description	:	West Columbia - Services for Juanita Starnes Shealy, 90, of West Columbia, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Russell Peek and Pastor Elford Roof. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be the Adult I Sunday School Class and the Eve Circle Group. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edgar Starnes and Arrie Caughman Starnes. Mrs. Shealy had been an area resident since 1937. Formerly of Aiken County, she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Adult I Sunday School Class and the Emmanuel Welca. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lexington Chapter #176. Mrs. Shealy retired from Monroe Calculator. Surviving are her children, Onnie L. "Bud" Shealy (Jeanie) of West Columbia, Wayne Shealy (Olivia) of Lexington, Lyndell Shealy (Wanda) of Gilbert, Carolyn Brown (Gene) of West Columbia; nine grandchildren, Anne Tidwell (Charlie), Carrie Ross (Travis), Dawn Day, Gena Brown, all of Lexington, Amy Latham (Marc) of Greenwood, Susan Sheldon (Tim) of West Columbia, Debra Daughtery (Trey) of Beaufort, Rhett Shealy of Charlotte; eleven great-grandchildren, Kevin, Mackenzie and Ryan Latham, Shawn Day, Marie Tidwell, Caleb and Adam Sheldon, Reagan, J.D. and Kelsey Ross, and Hayes Daughtery. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Shealy. The family wishes to express their many thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Gladys Bowles, Katie Brown and Becky Shumpert and the support provided by Tri-County Hospice. © The State, Columbia, SC, 28 Jun 2008
