Whitfield officiating. Mr. Kincaid was a pioneer lawyer of this county and the bar association pays the following tribute to his memory: In Memoriam In the matter of the death of Campbell M. Kincaid a member of the bar of Whitman county. To the president and members of the bar association of Whitman county: We, your committee appointed to draft resolutions in memory of the life and services of Campbell M. Kincaid, deceased, a member of this bar, report as follows: The deceased, Campbell M. Kincaid, was one of the oldest members of this bar; a pioneer lawyer who had been in the practice in this county for twenty-five years. During this period he has been honored by the citizens of this county by being selected to administer the offices of probate judge, an office he acquitted himself and the bar of which he was a member with learning, honor and credit. Our professional relations with our departed brother were always of the most pleasant character. He was of a kindly disposition; ever ready to accommodate any of his brothers, and towards the younger members of the bar he was at all times ready to lend a helping hand and to extend to them encouragement and assistance. He was a citizen of high ideals and sterling qualities, and his every effort went to the upbuilding of the best interests of the community in which he resided and as a true lawyer he ever sought to obviate litigation and never worked to encourage it. In his death his family has lost a kind and provident husband and father; the state an exemplary citizen, and our bar an efficient and useful member. We recommend that these resolutions be adopted and spread upon the records of our association, and that the same be reported to the court with the recommendation that a page of the records of this court be dedicated to his memory, on which these resolutions be written, and that the four do adjourn for the day in respect to his memory.
