She was born on Nov. 22, 1936, at Waterville to Walter and Hazel Petersen. She attended school at Happy Home School at Farmer and Waterville High School. Judy graduated from WSC in 1957, with a degree in elementary education. Judy finished her 5th year in education at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She taught first grade in the Garfield, East Wenatchee and Lake Chelan School Districts. Judy was married to Ernie Robison in Waterville on Aug. 18, 1957. They lived one year in Garfield; while Ernie completed college and then moved to East Wenatchee until 1966, when they moved to Chelan and planted their first orchard. In 1971, they purchased the family farm and moved to 25 Mile Creek, where they have lived for the last 31 years. Judy was an active member of the Christian faith at Lake Chelan United Methodist Church where she was presently active in the mission work; sang in the choir and participated in United Methodist Women. Judy enjoyed her family, friends and flowers. She had been a joy to many people in her life; always giving of her time and talents. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hazel Petersen. She is survived by her husband, Ernie; and three children, Lynndelle Burkhart, Dave Robison and wife Karla, Allen Robison and wife Rachel, all of Chelan. She is also survived by a sister, Joan Wilkes of Albuquerque, NM and a brother, Neil Petersen of Waterville. Judy had 12 grandchildren. "May the Lord bless her and keep her and may she give as much joy to her friends in heaven as she did here on earth." There will be a Memorial Service for Judy at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001. Memorials may be given in Judy's honor to Lake Chelan United Methodist Church.
