Description	:	Judith Lynn (Miller) Davis, 76 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 5, 2020 surrounded with family. Her death comes after two significant battles with metastatic cancer, numerous surgeries, and chemotherapy over the past ten years, all while humbly dealing with the aftermath of a stroke. Her memorial service was held Saturday, January 11 at Plainfield United Methodist Church in Plainfield, WI. Interment will be held at a later date in West Union. Judy was born June 12, 1943 in Clarinda to Sarah Margaret (Dunn) and Roger Fredric Miller. She was the oldest of two children, survived by her younger brother, Rodric Alan Miller. Her school years were spent in Clarinda, Northboro and Fayette. She graduated high school in 1961 with the honor of salutatorian. She went on to complete her four-year college degree (in just three years) at Upper Iowa University in Fayette. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Sociology. Judy married William Gale Davis July 18, 1964, and she was blessed with her three children in 1968 (Kathleen), 1970 (Kristine) and 1971 (Kevin). Because her husband was in the Air Force, she had the opportunity to live in many places early in her marriage: Lansing, San Antonio, TX, Selma, AL, Wichita, KS; Lompoc, CA and West Union. They moved to Dubuque in 1970, then back to Lansing in 1975, which is where she raised her three children. Her marriage ended by divorce in 1982. Judy moved to Saxeville, WI in 1999 and then to her most recent home in Wild Rose, WI in 2000. She resides now in her final home in Heaven! Judy was very intelligent and an extremely hard worker. She blessed the following workplaces with her skills: Kee High School as a Business Education teacher, Davis Insurance and Investments, Heiderscheit Law Office, Millard Accounting Services and Schweitzer Chiropractic (all of Lansing); Leon-Saxeville Library (Pine River, WI); Waushara Family Physicians and Wild Rose Memorial Hospital (Wild Rose, WI); and she was an Independent AVON Representative. In addition to working full-time until her retirement in 2008, she volunteered with countless organizations - all of which benefited children and the communities in which she lived. She was a very active member in her churches - in Lansing, Parfreyville, WI and in Plainfield, WI - teaching Sunday and Bible School, singing in the choirs, and holding positions on various committees. She was involved in leading and directing the Lansing Girl Scouts for 15 years, worked with the Lansing Lioness Club for 19 years, was on the Lansing Stone School Board of Directors for 23 years, organized youth roller skating bus trips to LaCrosse, WI for 10 years, and was instrumental in multiple other volunteer positions. Judy had a love of music, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. In high school and college, she sang in choir, played clarinet in concert band, played bass clarinet in marching band, played flute in pep band, played string bass in dance/jazz band (this was her favorite) and played piano beautifully. Another love and hobby of hers was scrapbooking and preserving family memories. She and her daughters enjoyed many get-togethers sharing this hobby together. Her other hobbies were reading, poetry, traveling (of which she never got to do enough), playing card and board games, crocheting, and anything to do with family time together. God and family were of utmost importance to her. She had an unwavering faith in Jesus and enjoyed her daily Bible reading and devotional time. She was the best example of a mother and child of God, as anyone who knew her could see. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Judy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Rodric and Joy (Alber) Miller; her daughter, Kathleen and Stephen Doering; her daughter, Kristine and William Femal; her son, Kevin and Susan (Sollom) Davis; her ten grandchildren: Brandon and Nathan Doering; Garrett, David and Parker Femal; and Joshua, Elijah, Sarah, Benjamin and Samuel Davis; one niece; three nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews. Blessed be the memory of Judy Davis.
