Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Anderson and Lottie Moss Stone. She was the widow of Jimmy Carson Miller. Mrs. Miller was a retired employee of Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Tim Burgess. Surviving are a daughter, Beth Sherman (David) of Trinity, NC; a son, Rodney Miller (Lori) of Casper, WY; a brother, Thurman Stone, Jr., of Batesville, MS; and three grandchildren, Brooks Sherman, Lewis Sherman and Mick Miller. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen S. Clayton. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 6479 Raleigh Road, Kittrell, NC 27544. Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
