Grandma "Nay-Nay" will be remembered for her unique sense of humor, her love for her family, and the joy she had spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at All Saints Catholic Church – St. James Parish, with Deacon Paul Gengler officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, followed by a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural wake service Monday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Carl Fiedler, Chris Arens, Nick Gengler, Jerry Ruhland, Russ Ruhland, and John Fiedler. Honorary casket bearers will be Cody Mulder, Chuck Bohlke, Mick Ruhland, Floyd Fiedler, and her great-grandchildren Brady, Sam, and Tayden Mulder, and Mataya and Maddox Arens. Juletta Ann Bohlke was born July 3, 1933, on the family farm near Marcus, Iowa, to Cletus and Adeline (Dickson) Bohlke. Juletta was raised in Remsen, Iowa, and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. She was united in marriage to Russell W. Carney on October 11, 1950, when they eloped to Fort Collins, Colorado. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa, and later at Yakima, Washington, for 10 years. While living in Yakima, their daughter Lisa Ann Carney was born in 1961, and they later settled in Le Mars in 1967. Juletta worked as a waitress at the DX Café in Le Mars, the battery factory in Sioux City, and Bomgaars in Le Mars. She really enjoyed her work as a supervisor in the mailroom at the Le Mars Daily Sentinel for almost 15 years before retiring. Grandma Nay-Nay enjoyed reading books, often reading an entire book each day, and was well known at the library. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, playing bingo, going to rummage sales, and fishing. She spent countless hours on the front porch swing enjoying the sun. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Fiedler (Carl) of Le Mars; two grandchildren, Chris Arens (Robyn) and their children Mataya and Maddox, all of Sioux Falls, SD, and Emily Mulder (Cody) and their children Brady, Sam, and Tayden of Le Mars; her siblings: Bettie Beach of Le Mars, Mary Ruhland of Hawarden, IA, Connie (Larry) Schlabach of Davenport, IA, Nancy (Jim) Pearson of LeClaire, IA, Cindy (Kelly) Ingenthron of Sioux City, Chuck (Niecey) Bohlke of Le Mars, Mike (Linda) Bohlke of Westfield, IA, Dennis (Dottie) Bohlke of Hawarden, Rick Bohlke of Reno, NV, and Lori (Phil) Shively of Denver, CO; a special niece, Teresa (David) Schulz of Merrill; a brother-in-law, Clint (Pat) Carney of Omaha, NE; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1991 after 40 years of marriage; her parents, Cletus and Adeline (Dickson) Bohlke; siblings: Jean (Ray) Mohrhauser, Bob (Elenor) Bohlke, Ken Bohlke, Ron Bohlke, and Tom (Joan) Bohlke; two brothers-in-law, Larry Ruhland and John Beach; her in-laws, Tom and Ethyl Carney; several other brothers-and sisters-in-law; and a very dear friend, Mary Gollhofer.
